DOWNLOADING LISTS FROM JANUS BOOKS, LTD.

Below are instructions for downloading the Melvyn Steinfeld Collection of Jack the Ripper in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format. Acrobat pdf files are the easiest to read, are compatible with almost all computers, and allow you to print either all pages or just those you want.

Should you not be able to use this format, please email me to tell me the format you need, and I will attempt to assist you.

If you don't already have an Adobe Acrobat reader on your computer, you can get one free on the internet at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Clear instructions are provided at that site.

Once you have the Acrobat reader, download the Jack the Ripper List as an Adobe pdf file by clicking HERE . After you click, depending on your system, one of two things will happen:

1. You will get a dialogue box asking you what you'd like to do with the file. In most cases, you can choose either to open the file or save it to disk. If you choose to save it, another dialogue box will ask you where you'd like to have the file saved. Specify a directory already on your hard drive, and the file will be saved to that location. Make a note of this location. You can then go to that location using your Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) and double-click on the file to open it.

2. The file will open automatically in your Adobe Acrobat program. From there, you can choose File|Save as... and save it to your computer, or you can simply print all or selected pages of the catalogue.
